Connect to on-premises fileshare using VNet integration feature of Azure App Service ?

Using the above mentioned VNet integration feature of Azure App service , can we access on-premises file-share ?

    @MS Techie , Thanks for posting this good question.

    On a standard App Service, access to SMB ports is restricted by the Sandbox.

    Restricted Outgoing Ports: Regardless of address, applications cannot connect to anywhere using ports (445/137/ 138/139). In other words, even if connecting to a non-private IP address or the address of a virtual network, connections to aforementioned ports are not permitted.

    Also, as mentioned in the same document that you’re referring to VNet integration doesn’t support: Mounting a drive and NetBIOS.

    If your requirement fits, you could use (for files copy) FTP/ Kudu console.
    As a side note to highlight, Azure Storage in App Service is in preview for App Service on Linux, Web App for Containers and Windows. It's not supported for production scenarios. You could access via either the SDK or the REST API.
