I recently created an azure account with free trial and immediately converted the account to pay-as-you-go. On the Entra ID management panel, on tenant management, trying to create a new tenant, on select tenant type, Microsoft Entra ID tenant type is disabled, the error above says: "Customers must own a paid license to create Microsoft Entra Workforce tenant.". Please help.

    Hi @Victor Gonzalez

    I understand that you are paying for an Azure subscription under the pay-as-you-go modality.

    However, for the activity you want, you require a Microsoft Entra ID P1 or P2 license

    More info here.

    I hope this helps!

    @Victor Gonzalez

    Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

    Earlier, we were allowing the establishment of additional free Microsoft Entra trial tenants using an existing Microsoft Entra tenant.

    However, our security team recently identified this practice for fraudulent and abusive activities.

    In order to enhance your organization's security, Microsoft is now limiting this functionality to only those customers who have paid Microsoft Entra P1/P2 license. Customers on trial license will not be able to create additional tenants from the Microsoft Entra admin center. Customers in this situation who need a new trial tenant can sign up for a Free Azure Account.
