Activate Microsoft entra P2 free trial

I am writing to seek assistance regarding the activation of the Microsoft Entra ID P2 trial for my Azure account. Here are the details of my current situation:

• I have an existing Azure free subscription associated with my personal email address, which I have been using to access Azure services.
• Despite logging in with this email, I was prompted to create a new Microsoft account when attempting to activate the Entra ID P2 trial.
• I need clarification on whether this is expected behavior and guidance on how to correctly activate the Entra ID P2 trial using my existing account.
• Additionally, I would like to understand the steps to ensure seamless transition and continued access to premium features after the trial period ends.

Hi,

Concerning the free trial here are the steps I did :

• Log in with myexisting Microsoft account associated with myAzure free subscription.
• Select Microsoft Entra Id.
• In the Microsoft entra Id overview, find the Licenses section in the left-hand menu and click on it
• Under Licenses, I clicked on All products.
• I clicked on the + Try/Buy.
• I choose MICROSOFT ENTRA ID P2 and clicked on the Free trial button then activate.
• Here I wrote my email and I was prompted to create a new Microsoft account which I have already!

I don't know if it's logical to cerate a new microsoft account when Im trying to activate the free trial from an existing one!
