A member of the channel is picked at random to become the new channel owner.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

When a Microsoft 365 user belonging to a team that includes a dedicated channel is deleted, if the dedicated channel has only one owner and that owner is deleted, ownership of that channel needs to be reassigned. A dedicated channel without an owner cannot be managed, so it is best to assign a new owner before deleting users.

If there are multiple owners, deleting one of them will not affect the normal use of the channel, while the other owners can still manage the channel.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
