I have Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, I can't reinstall Windows with files saved. I installed Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Evaluation. But it says that it is impossible to save files because the versions do not match. And Windows LTSC is simply without Evaluation.

Have you tried activating the evaluation version with a genuine license key? For window 10 Enterprise LTSC you can only get these through an enterprise agreement, I believe.

    Hello

The issue arises because the LTSC Evaluation version and the full LTSC version are considered different, and thus, you can’t perform an in-place upgrade while keeping your files.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

Backup Your Data: Before proceeding with any updates or installations, ensure all your important files are backed up to an external drive or cloud storage.

Check Compatibility: Verify that the version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC you are trying to install matches the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) and edition of your current installation.

In-Place Upgrade: If you have access to the full version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (not the Evaluation version), you can perform an in-place upgrade. Here’s how:

Copy the installation files to a folder on your desktop.

Run setup.exe from the installation files.

Choose the option to keep your personal files and apps during the setup process.

Product Key: If the option to keep personal files and apps is grayed out, you might need to use a product key switch during the setup process.
