Microsoft Authenticator issue with not receiving codes

I am having trouble with the Microsoft Authenticator app, which is not pushing a code when I try to sign in to a Microsoft service. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, as well as tried adding my account to a second device, but I still cannot get past the Authenticator step. What can I do to fix this?
