File Explorer settings

Question

I have recently upgraded to Windows 11, from 10. There are two changes to the File Explorer, which I am hoping can be changed within a setting somewhere, but have been able to find a way to do it.

1. The right click > send to > mail recipient is now down too far on the drop down / right click menu and I have to select "more options" after right clicking. Is there a way to move this feature up so I can use this function quicker? I send files this way multiple times through the day and removing the "more options" step would be very advantageous to me.
2. After upgrading to Windows 10, my file explorer does not automatically refresh. Even when the file has already been saved, if I have it open and hit save, it disappears until I refresh again. How can I get file explorer to refresh in real time as it did in Windows 10 and every other version since existence.

Hello, 

You can run this is cmd to revert your menu to win10. 

reg add HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32 /ve /d "" /f 

Run this command to confirm if it can fix your 2rd issue: 

Sfc /scannow 

DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

In Start Search type Regedit and hit the Enter Key.

Navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Create a new key named SendToMailRecipient.

Set its default value to:

{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Reboot.

File Explorer not automatically refreshing can often be resolved by resetting the folder view settings.
