Quantities applied on RI.

Question

I have asked this question too few of the agents in MS but unable to find the right answer ... Do the forum over know how the quantities get applied in Reservation ...Example: I have taken a reservation for 3 years for certain SKU in Eadsv5 and all the Vms (100) runs 24/7 but I could identify few got applied with 2 quantity and whereas others get applied 20 quanties.

It sounds like you have purchased Azure Reserved VM Instances for multiple VMs but are not seeing the reservation being fully utilized. Is that correct?

There are several factors that affect whether a VM qualifies for a reservation. You can review them here. It is also helpful to review how the discount gets applied.

My recommendation would be to open a support request, so a member of our billing team can review the details of your subscription and check why your reservation is not being utilized.
