Unable to Clone Synapse Serverless SQL Database

Question

I'm trying to clone a Synapse Server less SQL database for testing purposes, but I can't find a "Clone" option when I right-click on the database in Synapse Studio. I checked the Microsoft documentation for cloning Synapse databases, but it only covers Lake Databases.

Has anyone encountered this before, or is there a different way to create a copy of a Synapse Server less SQL database?

I understand your concern. Unfortunately, the "Clone" option is not available for Synapse Serverless SQL databases in Synapse Studio. > The cloning feature is currently only supported for Lake Databases, as mentioned in the Microsoft documentation.>

To fix this, try refreshing your browser, clearing the cache, or using a private tab. As a workaround, you need to use other methods like taking a backup and importing it into another database.
