I am a home user, not doing business. Apply for Azure service with subscription SQL Server service for testing in the free service. It is likely a misunderstanding in translating the meaning of usage and limitations. This resulted in unexpected charges on my bill for month amount of 291.47 USD. Hi @นครินทร์ ปลั่งพงษ์พันธ์,

In addition to @Adharsh Santhanam, you can contact Azure Support for billing and waiver-related queries by following these steps:

    • Click on the + New support request button. This will open a form where you can specify the details of your issue, Under Issue type, select Billing, and for Problem type, choose "Unexpected charges" request, then click Next.
      Screenshot 2024-07-15 155506-
    • Once it shows suggested solutions, DO NOT CLICK the Request a refund button, click Return to support request in upper left corner.
    • after clicking Next, proceed to enter all necessary details, verify that your email and phone number are correct, and finalize the case creation.
    • The Azure support team will review your request and get in touch with you to assist in resolving your refund issue. FYI: There is no charge for billing/subscription management support requests. A support engineer will assist you with your refund request. If the information is helpful, please consider by clicking the "Upvote" and "Accept Answer" on the post. If you are still facing the issue, please let us know in the comments. We are happy to help you. Thank you.

Hello นครินทร์ ปลั่งพงษ์พันธ์, I'm sorry to hear about the charges levied on your subscription. Please note that the free SQL Database offer is designed for new Azure customers looking to get started with Azure SQL Database, and existing customers that might need a development database for a proof of concept. You get 100,000 vCore seconds of serverless database compute and a maximum of size of 32 GB of data every month and the free offer provides a General Purpose database for the lifetime of your subscription. This offer is available for one database per Azure subscription. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/free-offer?view=azuresql. For specific waivers etc., you would have to put in a support request and see if they entertain your request -- https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/troubleshoot-billing/billing-troubleshoot-azure-payment-issues#contact-us-for-help.

Please do not forget to "Accept the answer” and “up-vote” wherever the information provided helps you, this can be beneficial to other community members.
