we have different machines on site with window server or windows10 OS installed. is it possible to update the software automatically with WSUS? if the software is a special software ( not microsoft product), can wsus realize the patch implementation on the third-part software?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

For machines with Windows Server or Windows 10 operating systems installed, you can use WSUS to automatically manage and distribute updates for Microsoft products, including Windows operating systems, Office, and other Microsoft software. For updates to special software or third-party software, WSUS usually cannot provide patches directly.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou

You can use WSUS and a 3rd party tool - https://github.com/DCourtel/Wsus_Package_Publisher to publish your own packages to WSUS. Although WPP is a good tool to use, I found that it’s lacking in features. Check out PDQ Deploy - Free edition may work for you.
