Shared Computer Legality for only 2 users with Business Standard

Hi,

I can't find this anywhere so maybe someone can clarify.
We have a few small businesses (2-10 users) who sometimes need for 2-3 staff to share a Win 10 Pro PC joined to their free Azure AD.
They all have their own Microsoft 365 Business Standard License and need to sign in with these in order to keep separate profiles.

I realise the standard way to do this is with Shared Computer Activation, which required Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses at $10 p/m more per user.
However, they don't use their 5 included activations on any other PC's so the advantage of Shared Computer Activation isn't relevant.

My question is, are they legally required to purchase Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses or can they use their Business Standard licenses and just use one of their 5 activations?

Thanks. Dave.

    Thank you for your post!

I reached out to my team regarding this and we'd recommend reaching out to your licensing representative. Our documentation on shared computer activation for Microsoft 365 Apps states - shared computer activation is required for scenarios where multiple users share the same computer and the users are logging in with their own account. Normally, users can install and activate Microsoft 365 Apps only on a limited number of devices, such as 5 PCs. Using Microsoft 365 Apps with shared computer activation enabled doesn't count against that limit.

    I hope this helps!
Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.
