When I use my computer (not applied to when logging in), windows.cmd.exe will pop up randomly. I do not know the reason why this has happened, and the problem has already been there for quite some time. Really want a solution, just in case. I have a HP computer, in which I have used not more than a year, and I have McAfee Antivirus Software. My computer is working just fine, though.

2020-12-01T01:37:11.797+00:00 Just downloaded and extracted it. I launched it, but I have no idea how to debug it. Is windows.cmd.exe a virus of any sort, since it's popping up randomly? I tried to find "cmd.exe" in the find option and found something called "conhost.exe". Does it have anything to do with it? I attached a picture of it below.

Just great. I've got another issue on my computer now. I filtered my computer through Procmon (I don't know whether it has anything to do with it, but still) and got a little problem here: my language bar is missing. Well, that's a very big downside and will be more of a frustrating drawback than the probably harmless issue back there. I tried to add a string value in the Registry Editor (CTFMON), the solution as said in many articles as of this problem, but it did not work. Any idea how to fix this? Does it have anything to do with the latest Windows updates?P.S. Will read the steps you shared thoroughly later, and see if it works. Thanks a lot.

Hi,Missing or corrupted system files such as DLL files may cause CMD continuously popping up.
You could use SFC to repair.- Press Win + R > type: cmd and click "OK" to bring up Command Prompt;
- Type:sfc /scannow and hit Enter;
- Then restart PC after the scan and check out whether the CMD.exe issue fixed or not.
If that doesn't work, try the following method:
Go to Task Scheduler > Microsoft > Office > Right click "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration" > Disable
