Redirect to desired page post MSAL login

Hello,
I am trying to send a link to a route on my web application via email. When I click the email, I get redirected to the MSAL login portal every time, which is not my main problem despite being logged in anyway. The problem is that instead of being redirected to my intended link within the web app, I am redirected to the home page. Does anyone know how I can either bypass this unnecessary redirection to MSAL or how to redirect from MSAL to my intended link?
