"How do I get MS Authenticator App on New Phone Without Backup?".

Hello,

I don't have back up of the old device. In addition, I don't have old phone access as well. Now, I am stuck to login to my microsoft 365 business account. I am not able to login to my business microsoft 365 admin account. since, I don't have microsoft authenticator app verified on new phone. I am in the loop. I am not able to login/access my business account to contact support for the help.

Thanks for your question.

For microsoft accounts If you lost access, you can only login via your recovery methods (Recovery codes/alternate email or what ever u set at the beginning).

If you did not set these, then you may alternatively have to attempt an account recovery using https://account.live.com/acsr

For work/school accounts you have to contact your IT Admin to help reset your methods

I have work/school account. Also, I am the IT Admin. I do get the option to reset the password through my alternate email address. However, after resetting my password, I am still stuck at MFA Microsoft authenticator app verification. Since, I don't have set up of authenticator app set up on my new phone. Before, I returned my old phone back to HR. When I go through app for set up. It gives me option of QR code set up, which I am not able to. And through 2 digit number. Which I have no idea, where to apply. This is same process for both (app and web console signin)
