Are SharePoint 2016 updates located here

cumulative? Apparently there is a backlog that has not been dealt with that I need to deal with. What is the best way to go about doing them if they are not?

    Hi @Zac Miles ,

I do believe most if not all Microsoft products have cumulative updates, this also goes for SharePoint Server 2016.
So it would be enough to install the latest cumulative update available.

You can read more about Microsoft's description and terminology of Microsoft software updates over here:

    Hi @Zac Miles ,

Yes, CU is a rollup update which means that the newest CU includes new fixes and all previous fixes (CUs as well as Public Updates) that were released after a major version e.g. RTM or SP1.

Microsoft uses the name Public Update for this rollup update but the name Cumulative Update makes more sense.
Cumulative Updates are released every month.

    Usually you install CU when:

    • At least every 2 years so you are eligible for Microsoft’s product support
    • If the CU fixes a specific problem you have.
    • If the CU enables support of newly released software e.g. a new major version of SQL Server.

To install the latest SharePoint Cumulative Updates in your farm, you could refer to this blog for more information:
