What license is required for Configuration Manager

I would like to implement Configuration manager to perform the following:

Hardware inventory
Software Inventory
Software Update Management
Software metering
Operating System Deployments
Software Distribution
Asset Intelligence
Configuration Management
Please see below for an estimation of the amount and types of devices we would need to have covered by this solution;

150 Laptops
70 Virtual Servers
110 Virtual desktops
100 Physical desktops
See below for queries:

  • If the customer has Office365 E3 and M365 Business Standard can they just purchase the Intune License to get full access to ConfigMgr?
  • If the customer never had an SCCM subscription can they purchase the Intune license and still get full access to ConfigMgr without purchasing SCCM licenses?
  • What license is required for servers that need to be managed by ConfigMgr?
