Assistance Needed for GitHub 2fa with Microsoft Authenticator

I'm currently experiencing an issue with GitHub 2FA authentication using Microsoft Authenticator on my new devices. Previously, I used Microsoft Authenticator on my old iPhone and Mac laptop for GitHub 2FA. However, I deleted the Authenticator app and reset both devices, resulting in the loss of all data.

I have now set up Microsoft Authenticator on my new iPhone and attempted to use it for GitHub 2FA. Although the app generates the verification codes, GitHub does not accept them. I have verified that the date and time settings on both my new iPhone and Mac laptop are correct.

Unfortunately, I did not save the recovery codes in the cloud; they were stored on my old laptop's disk, which is no longer accessible.

Could Microsoft assist me in resolving this issue so that I can regain access to my GitHub account?

If you can't use recovery codes, the next step is to go through GitHub's account recovery process:

    https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/securing-your-account-with-two-factor-authentication-2fa/recovering-your-account-if-you-lose-your-2fa-credentials

You may also need to contact Github Support

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you
