Hi,
I'm trying to setup Androids for passkeys within the authentication options of users. I am aware of the minimum Android version 14, and Authenticator up to date with Usage Data enabled and the Authenticator app enabled at service providers (under Passwords, Passkeys & Autofill).
Now for most users, it works when using Authenticator as save location for the passkey. But for a few users (Android 14, newest Authenticator app, Authenticator enabled) it does not show up as a save location for the passkeys.
What can I do to solve this?

Duncan Drury 50 Reputation points2024-11-26T12:23:31.6933333+00:00 On Samsung S24 running Android 14 and OneUI 6.1, Settings > General Management > Passwords, passkeys, and autofill gets to the place where the settings should be.
On the Personal profile tab I can select Preferred service and toggle the different services available in the personal profile. When I go to the Work profile, I can only select the preferred service - there is no All services UI like on the Personal profile.
I have selected Authenticator as the preferred service, but it does not seem possible to activate it as a service here. I've been on a teams call with MS support working on this, and this seems to be the sticking point. I don't think this has been tested by Microsoft on a Samsung phone with a work profile.
Is it possible that there is some Intune setting that is required to allow this UI?

I had sset up Authentication Strengths and applied them in Conditional Access policies - I didn't realise how easy it was to create conflicts. When I just used the Require multifactor authentication option in Conditional Access it started working.
Also, in Authentication Methods I enabled Passkeys (FIDO2) for all users, and then configured it with all the AAGUIDs for Microsoft Authenticator in Microsoft's documentation.
Good luck - it was painful getting this working stably but worth the effort. Microsoft Support were very helpful once I got someone who spent the time looking through my config and identifying the problems.
