Teams PWA rarely receives notifications or 15mins+ delay

Question

I used to use the teams for Linux app and switching to the PWA wasn't a massive downgrade but having to have my phone available to receive notifications is becoming a major problem.

Notifications

I get notifications on Teams for Android but they sometimes never arrive on my workstation. If I'm more active in teams then they tend to arrive reasonably but it seems that when the app hasn't been focused for some time it basically stops working and I have to refresh thee tab to see new messages. I have desktop notifications enabled and installed the teams PWA with the latest Chromium browser but it's still problematic. Teams is the only thing I use chromium for, maybe if the PWA worked in Firefox things would work better? I have no issues getting email notifications.

Status

Presumably because the PWA has no access to the system to determine activity, it always says that I'm away unless I'm active in the tab. This is only mildly annoying as my coworkers understand the situation.

Stability & Performance

Additionally I frequently get stability issues. Just today the webapp became unresponsive and I was asked to either wait or force quit and had to refresh the page.

Currently, the PWA experience is available for Edge, Chrome, and Firefox browsers running on Linux. You can run New Teams on the Firefox browser.

In addition, we recommend that you use New Teams on your browser instead of Teams Classic, which has more stable performance.
