dear all,

i am writing this in both Chinese and English is because my windows is in Chinese and some part of the information that i provided is based in Chinese.

i am having trouble with connecting wireless dispaly by my office laptop. usually i use win+K to call wireless dispaly panel to look for wireless dispaly devices, however when i tried to connect our office new TV, which is a smart TV based on Android), i am unable to connect.

i have tried to use same laptop to try in different TV, no luck. i also tried different laptops to connect same TV and they worked.

so basiclly i think the problem is coming from the laptop not the TV.

my laptop is Thinkpad X13 Gen2, AX201 wifi (drvier version 23.40.0.4), graphic card is from i5-1135G7 (driver version 31.0.101.5388)

i also check event log and get some information as below. unfortunately i am unable to translate into English as i am really not an IT person. i don't know the exact meaning of those words.

    Hello

It seems like you're experiencing a specific issue with your Thinkpad X13 Gen2 laptop when trying to connect to a wireless display. The error from the event viewer indicates a problem with TLS client credentials, which could be related to the wireless display connection issue.

Update or Reinstall Network Drivers: The issue might be due to outdated or corrupted network drivers. You can try to update or reinstall these drivers. To do this, go to Device Manager, expand the Network adapters category, right-click on your network adapter, and select ‘Update driver’ or ‘Uninstall device’. After uninstalling, restart your computer and Windows should automatically install the missing driver.

Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers: Sometimes, the issue might be with the graphics drivers. You can try updating or reinstalling the graphics drivers. Similar to the network drivers, you can do this from the Device Manager. Right-click on your graphics adapter under ‘Display adapters’ and select ‘Update driver’ or ‘Uninstall device’. After uninstalling, restart your computer and Windows should automatically install the missing driver.

Check Wireless Display Settings: Make sure your device drivers are up to date and the latest firmware is installed for your wireless display. You can check the manufacturer’s website for instructions or search Microsoft Store for your manufacturer’s app to help you.

Check System Settings: The Schannel error 36871 you’re seeing in the event viewer might be related to the TLS settings on your system. You might need to adjust these settings or update your system to resolve this issue.
