Shared Mailbox Sign in block

We have shared mailboxes synced with AD. Can we block their sign in from office 365 or do we need to disable them from AD to block their sign in.

You can block it directly in Entra ID/M365 admin portal.

@Vasil Michev , you mean if i will block the sign in from office 365, AD account of shared mailbox sign will also block i.e. this will disable the account in AD and no authentication for AD account will possible. What i have heard if any object synced from AD, the ideal way to block sign in is to block it from AD.

The status will not be synced back to AD, if that's what you are asking. But as the mailbox is located in O365, you can block sign-in there directly. Either way is fine.
