I have added someone to a teams meeting chat but they can't see it, I then tried to remove them from the chat and re add them but they still can't see it?

I set up a meeting, and want to utilise the chat. After the meeting I added a user to the meeting invite thinking this would grant them access to the chat but it didn't (they are however showing on the list of people). I removed them and re added them but they still cannot see the chat? Please help.

    Hi @Gard, Michelle

According to our official documentation, you were added to the meeting as an attendee by using a meeting link such as one that's shared in a forwarded meeting invitation. However, you were not added to the original invitation. In this scenario, attendees will have access to chats, files, notes, and other meeting content only during the meeting, and will lose access to them after the meeting ends. If this is a recurring meeting, then attendees will also not have access to the meeting chat in subsequent meetings.

To enable access to the chat after the meeting is over, the meeting organizer should add the attendee to the original meeting invitation or to the original recurring meeting series, as appropriate.

Thanks for your understanding and support.
