I want to add Phi Silica to my WinUI apps. It`s possible install AI model on users PC as system component or extension for avoiding duplicating if user have few apps using same model? Or I should place models in PublisherCacheFolder?

PublisherCacheFolder. ThePhi Silica APIis available as a part of theWindows App SDK. When you install the app, the Windows App SDK will be also installed. It is related toWindows App SDK, you need to make sure you have installed the Windows App SDK. And it doesn't matter if the user is using win10 or win11. -

2024-07-24T09:38:18.66+00:00 I'm not about Phi Silica API, I'm about language models which this API use. If I correct understand your first answer this models included in Windows Copilot Library, but Windows 10 don't have Copilot as system component.

Generally, the system requirements for running AI in Windows client apps depend on the complexity of the AI model and the hardware acceleration used. Phi Silica is a powerful NPU-tuned local language model, so you need to make sure your device has NPU. There is windows version limitation on the document so it should work on windows 10. You could give a try on windows 10 first.
