I have an older VM in azure (Server 2003) that the native backup won't work and it won't be troubleshot from the MS side because it is server 2003. Looking into Veeam's backup for azure , i spun up the VM and told it to create the service account it needs. I provided my login as the principal as i have both owner and contributor roles in the portal.

However when i click next to let Veeam do its thing, it comes back with an error (attached)

I'm new to azure so don't know what i'm missing. There is an option to specify an account but then it asks for application id, secret, and tenant ID which i wasn't sure of all that info.

Thanks, i had opened with veeam community forum as well. There is an issue between veeam and azure in terms of the auto account creation as Microsoft isn't generating the account with the right permissions for some reason.

Veeam put together a knowledgebase article yesterday to walk through it manually.
