I have Microsoft 365 personal and subscription runs out Jan 22, 2020. I just bought a second computer that I am setting up, which comes with 1yr free Microsoft 365 subscription. The new computer will not let me use Microsoft office unless I activate the free trial. How do I take advantage of the 1.5months I have left on my 365 subscription then activate my free year? I plan to use both computers, so I do want to use the free year on both computers once my subscription runs out. How do I do this?

Can not figure out what the tags mean. Why do you make this so difficult all the time?

    @Randy Kleim

    In my opinion, it's not recommended to use your own Microsoft 365 Personal on new computer first. It may causes issues when you activated the 1 year free subscription later.
    Please check the thread "Office 365 1 Year Free subscription with purchase of my laptop the option to activate has gone due to downloading the college office by accident".

    I would suggest you contact computer maker for assistance, please confirm whether they have specific installation content for the 1 year free subscription, which ensures you could find it back if you encounter the similar issue.

    Besides, as we are mainly responsible for general issues of Office desktop applications, any issues related to subscriptions, you may also post a new question on the forum that DSPatrick suggested.

    Thanks for your understanding. Hope the information could be helpful.
