Our SharePoint list with a Managed Metadata column experiences periodic corruption of its view filters. As shown in the screenshot, the filter values will be duplicated, once displaying the term set label and once with the label and guid. Each time this happens, we need to rcorrupt-view-filter

eindex the library to fix it, causing user inconvenience when searching for their documents. Can anyone explain what causes this corruption in filter values?

    Hi @Brigitte Labelle ,

This can occur due to several reasons. There is currently no way to determine the specific cause. It is recommended that you perform troubleshooting to narrow down the scope of the problem.

1, The use of the "Allow Multiple Values" option for the Managed Metadata column. When this option is enabled, the filter values may become duplicated, causing the corruption. Try to disable the "Allow Multiple Values" option for the Managed Metadata column if it's not necessary. Then see if the situation still occurs.

2, The use of special characters in the term set labels, which can also cause the filter values to become corrupted. It's recommended to avoid using special characters in the term set labels.

3, SharePoint caches metadata information, and sometimes this cache can become outdated or corrupted. Clearing the cache might help resolve the issue temporarily.

    Hope this can help.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

When filtering using the Filter By available on column headings, it works as expected:

    User's image

When filtering in the Filters pane, it works fine right away. But after a few minutes something happens with the value options. They appear twice when you press Show all, and it is no longer possible to filter the data in the list as expected. You must explicitly choose one of the values indicated by the GUID.

Note: This applies to all users, but for my SharePoint Service Administrator it works as expected.

    Standard list:

    User's image

Trying to filter using the Filters pane:

    User's image

Click "Show all", and the following list of filter values appears:

    User's image

    User's image

    User's image

    Please advice.
