Using SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) currently available from our SPO site, migrating on-premise to online site, at some point of time, the tool halted and showing this error

Invalid site URL 'https://xxx.com/sites/xxx/xxx/AD00-01-2020-002' (ErrorCode: 0x0201000F)

closed SPMT and restarted migration, same error, checked the url in different browsers, I can confirm that the url is valid and the sp site is accessible with no issue.

what could be the issue?

Whether the invalid site URL is a SharePoint on-premises site collection or SharePoint online site collection?

If it is a SharePoint on-premises site collection, use the original site URL (http), not the AAM URL.

If it is a SharePoint online site, create a new site collection without "-" parament, then migrate data.
