Hello,

I'm hoping to get additional details about the deprecation of the Azure Synapse/Data Factory Salesforce (Legacy) connector. The article linked below does not specify whether it will become unusable or just not be supported. Will it continue to work for a period after the deprecation date of October 11, 2024, and if so, for how long?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-salesforce?tabs=data-factory

Thanks,

Richard

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

The Azure Synapse/Data Factory Salesforce (Legacy) connector will become deprecated on October 11, 2024. After this date, while you will no longer be able to create new Linked Services or datasets using the legacy connector, existing Linked Services and datasets will continue to function for a period. However, Microsoft has not specified an exact end-of-support date for the legacy connector, implying that it will eventually be phased out entirely. To ensure continued functionality and support, it is advisable to transition to the new Salesforce connector, which offers improved native Salesforce support and additional features
