Azure synapse : partition a table that has no partition

Is it possible to partition a table (which current not partitioned) , without recreate the table ?

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thanks for posting the query.

    As per the documentation, synapse currently supports enabling partitions during table creation whereas modifying the partitions later is permitted. Partition function can to be a possible approach for such scenarios in SQL but this is not yet supported in Synapse.

    As Synapse is still evolving, more features are gradually added to the product. I would recommend creating an idea in the feedback forum which is closely monitored by the Synapse product team and the ideas are implemented in future releases.
