    Hi ,

    Agree with LasRashid, your interface name is Local Area Connection instead of Ethernet, change to Local Area Connection and then see if the command can work.

    In addition, what's the OS version of your machine? Windows 7 or windows server 2008? If the command still doesn't work, see if the following link can help you:

    Hello,

    Run This Command

    netsh interface ipv4 set address "Local Area Connection" Static X.X.X.X X.X.X.X

    your Ethernet name is [ Local Area Connection ] not [ Ethernet ]

    Hello,

    I think you're running Windows on USB or CD as installation, I don't think you can run this command there, you can do it on safe mode, or normal mode, or check your Ethernet name from command below,

    netsh interface ipv4 show config
