Dear community,

We are in the process of migrating to Intune and have some questions regarding best practices.

Our bandwidth demand is high, and this often results in bottleneck situations. Furthermore, our machines are powered off during after-work hours.

What are the best practices for updating our systems during business hours?

What practices do we need to be cautious of and avoid?

Thank you for your help.

You can set updates and apps downloads happening on a back ground, in Win32 actually that it is a default distribution method.

About updating workstations on business hours, you can set active hours when no updates would be installed. That active hours could be less than actual working hours of your staff, so they will be prompted to update during first office hour or last hour. It totally depends how you want to do it. But options are available for these cases. Also you might want to include a powerplan for your workstations and let computers go to sleep after working hours and after updates.
