Help Required: Updating Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business on Offline Server

Question

In our organization, we are using Windows Server 2019 and have installed Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business. Our server lacks internet connectivity, and we need to update Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business to address several CVEs.

We currently have Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business version 16.0.16130.20332 installed and need to update to version 16.0.17231.20236 or the latest version.

I have already tried using the Office Deployment Tool and Office Customization Tool to download the updates, but these tools only list Office Professional Plus 2019 and Office Standard 2019, with no option to download Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business. In our organization, there is no machine connected to the internet for cybersecurity reasons. Therefore, our priority is to download the latest Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business on an online machine (outside the organization), copy the file to the server, and then install Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business on our Windows Server 2019.

If anyone has guidance or specific troubleshooting steps on how to achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,You need to change the configuration file's Channel and Product ID value:

Update channel:

The update channels for Office 2019 are as follows:

1. PerpetualVL2019: The only supported update channel for Office Professional Plus 2019 and Office Standard 2019.
2. Current Channel: Used for Office Home & Business 2019.
3. Monthly Enterprise Channel: One of the primary update channels.
4. Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel: Another primary update channel.
