Outlook Freezing

We are currently experiencing issues with Outlook freezing for a few seconds when working in a specific mailbox.

Outlook becomes "not responding" when the mailbox or individual emails are opened. It appears to be related to the size and or content of the emails, which are quite large, around 600KB.

Multiple users are encountering this issue, all running Version 2406 or 2404.

We have already disabled Cached Exchange Mode for the mailbox. While Outlook is now running more smoothly, it still freezes when opening emails.

We were only able to open the emails without freezing on a client running Version 2306.

    Hi @Reithofer, Matthias ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Outlook becomes "not responding" when the mailbox or individual emails are opened.

What's the mailbox? Is it a shared mailbox or personal mailbox?

It appears to be related to the size and or content of the emails, which are quite large, around 600KB.

In order to further confirm if the issue is related to Outlook desktop client, please log in to web mail and check if the issue persists.

If the issue occurs in Outlook desktop client, it's suggested that you could refer to this official article to troubleshooting: Outlook not responding, stuck at "Processing," stopped working, or freezes.

    Hope the above help!
