Can I delete a Recovery Vault after it has been locked with Immutability

I would like to understand What the process would be for deleting a Recovery Vault after I have checked and set vault immutability. (enabled it) AND I have locked it (so it is irreversible). Let's say I have set some backups on VMs, but now I want to delete the RSV. What are the process steps that would enable me to do this?

(Logically, I would say, I would have to turn off Soft Delete, Stop all Backups, Delete Backups on RSV (maybe have to wait until backup retention policy expires, not sure, then delete RSV). Please provide details so this is clear. Thanks!

@Rob McNees Thank you for contacting us.

I understand that you have set vault immutability and have locked it. So, your understanding is correct, it is irreversible. In this case, to delete the vault you need to contact Azure technical support to connect with Azure backup product team to help you with deletion of vault.

Note: Your consent is required to delete the data and once the data is deleted, you will not get it back.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

Hope this answers your question. Let us know if you need any assistance reaching out to Azure technical support team.
