This issue seems to be a bug:
If mp3 doesn't work, try to insert a different audio format in slides.

I am trying to put together a presentation that will have automatically advancing slides along with a different sound track with 10 seconds each.
There are 57 slides, so I had to manually insert 57 pre-trimmed to 10 seconds audio tracks to each one of the 57 slides. That took me a really long time to do, counting on incompetent Microsoft's ability to create software that actually works, which is a tall order.
I am fuming after Powerpoint messed up all the slides. Despite I trimmed each audio track to 10 seconds outside of it, Powerpoint assigns a random duration to each of the 57 mp3 audios.
I tried to trim each to 10 seconds, using Powerpoint's trim feature, now Powerpoint only plays a random less than 10 seconds portion of the clip.
