Hello there, this is a general hardware issue I have had.
I've had this happen a few times since I've had this computer. About a couple of weeks ago my computer randomly restarted, I chalked it up to the heatwave going on assuming it just overheated but it just happened again.
I want to know what's going on and how to stop my computer from restarting. Since I do online work this is a bit concerning.
Looking into the Event Viewer gives me these errors (Onedrive Link with screenshots of all errors)
The first error starts with "The GameInput Service service terminated with the following error:
The compound file GameInput Service was produced with a newer version of storage."
I'm not too sure what GameInput Services is or why it results in a fatal hardware error.
I have been told to check my MiniDump folder but no files are in it, unfortunately. Looked at different forums with no definitive answer or solution.
Specs:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core
Motherboard: Gigabyte
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2060
RAM: 16GB
Windows 11

Hello
Does the computer randomly reboot only when you're gaming, or does it do this during normal use as well?
The Microsoft GameInput service is an API that allows games to access and interact with gaming input devices, such as gamepads, keyboards, and mice. It is a background service that reduces latency and improves input accuracy for a better gaming experience on Windows.
If you want to understand the root cause of the random restarts, it is recommended that you disable automatic restarts first to check if we can receive any error information.
