Associate route table to Databricks Vnet subnets

We have a resource group for AVD/Domain resources and so we have a gateway to connect to local resources. We stood up a Databricks resource and need it to use the gateway from the original resource. We have an active peering network and can communicate with any resources in that resource (DC/AVD). But it wont use the gateway and connect to local resources. Recently learned that we have to also do a custom route table and I built that up. The final piece is to associate the route table to Databricks subnets and it refuses to and give me a permission denial. I have moved the route table between the two resources and no matter what it wont connect to that resource. Does not work in any way even through CLI. Any thoughts on how I can alleviete this. follwoing this guide:

Hi @Stephen , Databricks has an architecture of control plane and compute plane. The compute plane is where your data is processed. There are two types of compute planes depending on the compute that you are using.

For classic Azure Databricks compute, the compute resources are in your Azure subscription in what is called the classic compute plane. This refers to the network in your Azure subscription and its resources.

For serverless compute, the serverless compute resources run in a serverless compute plane in your Azure Databricks account.

You can set route table for classic compute plane. Do you use classic or serverless compute plane?
