ESC and tab buttons sopped responding

Question

Hi,

For some reason ESC and Tab sopped responding. I tried to restart the computer as well as troubleshoot the issue but Windows didn't find any issue. All drivers are up to date. Did you ever faced something like this?

While I haven’t personally experienced this, I can suggest a few steps that might help resolve the issue:

Reset the Key Status: Sometimes, pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del and then Esc can reset the key status.

Reconnect the Keyboard: If you’re using an external keyboard, try unplugging it and then plugging it back in.

Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter: Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, and select Keyboard.

Check for Sticky Keys and Filter Keys: Make sure these accessibility features are turned off. You can find them under Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.

Uninstall and Reinstall Keyboard Drivers: Open Device Manager, expand the Keyboards section, right-click your keyboard, and choose Uninstall. Restart your computer, and Windows should reinstall the drivers automatically.

If none of these steps work, it might be worth trying a different keyboard to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if it’s a hardware problem.
