Environment variables in azure function app disappearing

I am creating environment variables in my function app to reference in the function code. Some of the environment variables i am creating are key vault references. When i create the variable, it is briefly visible in the list of variables, but disappears when i refresh the list.

If nothing works we can open a support ticket for you. It's possible that the environment variables you are creating are being overwritten or deleted by another process.
- Check if there are any Azure Functions extensions or third-party tools that are modifying the environment variables. Disable any extensions or tools that may be causing the issue and see if the environment variables persist.
- Check if there are any Azure Functions deployment slots that are modifying the environment variables. Deployment slots can have their own environment variables that override the environment variables in the main app. Check if there are any deployment slots that are modifying the environment variables and update them accordingly.
- Check if there are any Azure Functions settings that are modifying the environment variables. Azure Functions settings can override the environment variables in the main app. Check if there are any settings that are modifying the environment variables and update them accordingly.
- Check if there are any Azure Functions runtime issues that are causing the environment variables to disappear. Check the Azure Functions logs for any errors or warnings related to environment variables.
- Check if there are any Azure Functions security settings that are preventing the environment variables from being created or modified.

2024-08-01T12:30:33.6966667+00:00 Thank you for your response - The function app has been newly created. No modifications, extensions, deployment slots. The same behavior persists.
In addition to replicating the issue in two browsers, i've just now replicated the behavior in a new function app in a different subscription.
