Hello, I receive the following error connecting to one of my servers.
Error message: Database 'dbName' on server 'server-name' is not currently available. Please retry the connection later. If the problem persists, contact customer support, and provide them the session tracing ID of '{2243B91D-2CA4-4A15-AD82-B8A78CA906DA}'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 40613)

In addition to @Alberto Morillo answer below. This error might occur if there's already an existing dedicated administrator connection (DAC) established to the database.are you trying to login using sql server authentication or azure active directory authentication?
What are your permissions?
I'm using sql server authentication - Admin. There is no any other DAC.

You will need to add server firewall rule from the Azure Portal in order to connect.

Then try to reconnect again.

Server firewall rule has been set up, and server was working for more than 2 years. As I know there is another type of error when rule is not configured.

On the Resource Health, In the left vertical panel you will find all issues affecting your database (the cause your database is not available).

Resource health is fine. Another topic suggests to set up retry policy. I tried, but I'm getting The network path was not found. Actually I got access in SSMS to db after skipping 40613 error. But I can't do it in Visual Studio. The other sql servers on the same subscription works fine.

Then use the newly created database from the restore process.

But you can copy the database to another Azure SQL logical server using the Azure Portal.

The issue could be related to some VPN issue. Are you connected to a VPN when trying to access DB? This might be better handle through support case where you can have 1:1 troubleshooting with a network engineer to fix this issue.
