Hello,

I have a product key for Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Edition, which works fine on the same edition of the server.

However, I do have a server with "Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Azure Edition" and the same key does not work on that server.

Does Azure Edition require a separate key then the regular edition ?

@Daniel G Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

Yes, the Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Azure Edition requires a different product key than the regular Datacenter Edition. The key for the Azure Edition is specific to that version and won’t work with the standard Datacenter Edition key.
