Keyboard and mouse become unresponsive after Windows start up

My keyboard and mouse are not working when my computer starts up in Windows. I'm unable to log in and only the 'esc' and 'f4' buttons work before Windows boots up. I'm guessing it's a driver issue, but I can't fix it without keyboard or mouse access. Can someone suggest any solutions?

    Hello,

It could be that a third-party app is affecting your keyboard. You can start the computer in safe mode in Windows to test for driver problems and interference from third-party applications or services. But you can use 'esc' before that.

If you don't see safe mode in Advanced Options, select the command prompt and type the following command, the next time your computer will boot into safe mode:

    Bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal

(If network is required, change minimal to network.)

    Best regards

    Jacen
