Permanent access to ADF in AME subscription

We have an ADF workspace in AME subscription, but the users are not able to access the ADF workspace as the AME subscription access is always temporary (16 hours). Is there a way to give permanent access to ADF workspace without subscription access?

Amira Bedhiafi 26,571 Reputation points2024-08-05T15:56:24.34+00:00 You need to use Azure role-based access control (RBAC) to assign roles at the resource level instead of the subscription level.
- Navigate to ADF Resource:
- Go to the Azure portal: https://portal.azure.com
- Search for "Data factories" and select your ADF instance.
- Access Control (IAM):
- In the ADF resource blade, select "Access control (IAM)" from the left-hand menu.
- Add Role Assignment:
- Click on "+ Add" and then "Add role assignment."
- In the "Role" dropdown, select the appropriate role (e.g., Data Factory Contributor).
- In the "Assign access to" dropdown, select the type of principal (User, Group, or Service Principal).
- Search for and select the user, group, or service principal.
- Click "Save" to assign the role.
Example Roles:
- Data Factory Contributor: Can create and manage ADF resources but cannot grant access to others.
- Data Factory Operator: Can monitor and manage ADF but cannot make changes to the resources.
