How do I log into my Outlook when my Authenticator is not working?

I just got a new phone and when trying to log into my shool email through Outlook I am running into some problems. On my old phone whenever I would log into my Outlook it would display the temporary two-digit code for me to use in Authenticator. Then, I would get a notification to enter that number into my Authenticator app. Now when I attempt to log into my Outlook it tells me to open my Authenticator app directly. After oppening Authenticator the two-digit code is displayed, but there is no place for me to input the code. Both of my Outlook and Authenticator apps are fully updated and I have tried reinstalling several times. The semester is about to start and I would love to have my shool email on my phone. What do I do?

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For business
Microsoft Security | Microsoft Authenticator

You should register your new phone in micorosft cloud in order for it to work.

to do this , point to the old phone MS authenticator and choose backup. this will lead you to backuo all the data to another MS cloud account.

then from new phone restore what you backedup.

If you can not get your old phone to work. speak with the school help desk so they can reset the MFA for you. This is normal user call for new phones.

    Hope this will help.
