How do I get current bitlocker key?

Question

So I completed a required update on my laptop and when it restarted it asked me for my bitlocker key. I used found the bitlocker key in my Microsoft account info but when entered I am told it is incorrect.

How do I get the correct one?

Hi @michelle rightnour ,

if the stored Bitlocker Recovery Key in your Microsoft Account doesn't work the only options are:

• Maybe you have printed the Bitlocker Recovery Key.
• Maybe you have stored the Bitlocker Recovery Key on an USB stick/somewhere else.

If the Bitlocker Recovery Key isn't available anymore you can't decrypt the disk.
