Peering Issue in free Trial

Hi all,

I am setting up VMs in 2 different region under same resource group. To bring them under the same network, I am trying Peering but it is not letting me to Peer those VMs.

Error: "Address space '10.0.0.0/16' overlaps with address space '10.0.0.0/16' of virtual network 'Windows11-vnet'. Virtual networks with overlapping address space cannot be peered. If you intend to peer these virtual networks, change address space '10.0.0.0/16 ".

When I am creating VMs, the default Subnets are already set and I can't chose from the drop down. I am using what was already present as subnet by default. I thought must have missed while creating a VM, but even after creating VM again, I encountered the same error.

Please assist. Thanks!

    Hi @Syed Mehdi ,

if both Virtual Networks have overlapping address spaces there is no chance to peer these two vNets.

Your best option is to create a new vNet with a different, not overlapping address range, including a subnet. Move the VM in the new vnet/subnet and create the peering.

Delete the vnet that is not needed anymore.
