Microsoft Authenticator Loop?

Question

I cannot login to my Microsoft account on my phone because it keeps asking me to verify myself via the Authenticator app. When I open the Authenticator app it asks me to verify myself via the app? It is an endless loop of asking me to verify myself. I do not have the text phone number option.

I have tried reinstalling the app and calling technical support but there's no solution.

Please help.
