I have a new Surface Pro 11 with the Snapdragon ARM processor running Windows 11. I have had a lot of software issues and could not even print until Microsoft made a recent Windows 11 2024-07 update for the ARM64 based Systems. I use Power Toys, mostly for the FancyZones, and like it very much (I have two 4k monitors in addition to the SP11 display). I am still using a Surface Pro 8 with one 4K monitor alongside the Surface Pro 11 and would like to be able to use a single mouse across the two machines. Power Toys now includes Mouse Without Borders, and I tried to set this up between the two machines. I cannot seem to get a connection, regardless of on which machine I start the connection process. (My preference is to have the Surface Pro 11's mouse be usable across the two machines.)
Could the Snapdragon ARM system cause issues? Could FancyZones create issues?
Has anyone been successful connecting Mouse Without Borders between a Surface Pro 11 and an older Surface Pro running Windows 11? If so, did you do anything differently than what the included "Learn more about Mouse Without Borders" PowerToys Mouse Without Borders | Microsoft Learn instructions said?
I have the same question. I use Mouse without Borders every day between my Surfacebook and desktop PC and would love to upgrade to Surface Pro 11. But I can't make the move to ARM unless Mouse without Borders works
Thank you for your comment. When I first received my new Surface Pro 11, I loaded Microsoft PowerToys from the Microsoft Store. I have been previously using PowerToys on my Surface Pro 8 for many years and I also think it is great. For example, FancyZones works on both my Surface Pro 11 and 8. It is nice that Mouse without Borders in part of PowerToys, but I am unaware of any ARM version that will permit Mouse with Borders to be used on a Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon ARM. I see only one version of PowerToys in the Microsoft Store, and it says, "This product should work on your device." Am I overlooking something?

works great. i just use it normally in day to day ; i haven't had a chance to really "thorough test it" .. but so far; works great out of the box. Also .. did you see that mouse without borders got added to power toys?? its amazing. all the source code is up in github (open source) AND you can get a version of powertoys from the store; with mouse without borders; that is all ARM64 native :)
It works great. also ... they added MWB to powertoys. so now you can install powertoys from the store ; get an ARM64 version ; and use MWB as well !
FYI: I just ran an PowerToys update on my Surface Pro 11 and it identifies itself as an Arm version.
I just updated and PowerToys says it is now an ARM version on my SP11. I am still unsuccessful with making a connection with MWB.
Did you ever get it working David? Seems like others said it works great, but would love to hear some additional confirmation. I use MWB all day, so I need to make sure it works 100% before I can upgrade to SP11/ARM
