How to restore SharePoint groups access

Hi all,

Members/visitors have not been able to get access to a sharepoint site even when I have approved their request. I should note something strange has happened where the request is followed by "[No Access]".

I have a feeling it's to do with the fact that both the Member and Visitor groups appear to have been deleted from the overarching site permissions?

How do I get these back?

    Hi @James Owen,

To restore the SharePoint groups, you first need to make sure the default groups exist. Go to <site URL>/_layouts/15/groups.aspx to make sure the deleted groups are present. When the groups are present, you have to create the associations. Go to <site URL>/_layouts/15/permsetup.aspx and select the corresponding groups in the form.

Finally, press OK to create the associations. Now the deleted SharePoint groups of the site are restored.
